James Buires was born on August 3rd, 1837 in Steeleville, Lanc., Pa.1   James Buires' father was Joseph SKEENS and his mother was Maria Amanda DOLBY.  His paternal grandparents are Joseph SKEEN and Elizabeth KNOTT; his maternal grandfather was Abraham DOLBY and his maternal grandmother is Charlotte. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William Dolby, Elisha David, Joseph Hyrum, Lyman Stoddard, Moroni, Anna Maria, Eliza Jane and Amanda.  He was the oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 8 on October 16th, 1845.  He was buried in October 1845.1 1
