Thomas was born on April 15th, 1884 in Burstow, Surrey, England. Thomas' father was Thomas Kenward and his mother was Susannah Maynard. His paternal grandparents were Robert Kenward and Amelia Daniels. He had four brothers and five sisters, named James, Percival, Frederick, George, Susannah, Amelia, Lizzie, Edith and Clara. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 86 in 1970 in Surrey South Eastern, England.
