Ronald was born in 1902 in Horley, Surrey. England. Ronald's father was Josiah Kenward and his mother was Mary Maynard. His paternal grandparents were Robert Kenward and Amelia Daniels. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Josiah, James, Arthur, Clarence, Elizabeth, Florence, Gertrude, Mabel, Bertha, Beatrice and Grace. He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 65 in March 1967 in Surrey,South Eastern, England.
