Jane was born on June 17th, 1859 in Merthyr Tydfil, Glmrgn, Wales.¹ Jane's father was John ROBERTS and her mother was Adelaide FORD. Her paternal grandparents were John ROBERTS (1785) and Mary DARCY (1795); her maternal grandparents were James FORD (1799) and Sarah SCHOFIELD (CHR-1803). She had seven brothers and three sisters, named John, Robert, Joseph Moroni, James, Hyrum, David, Edwin Tearle, Mary, Emily and Elizabeth Lillian. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 54 on June 26th, 1913.¹
